The L.A. Kings are comin’ to town!
Tonight marks the first time all season that the Sharks and Kings meet up in this ever-increasingly fierce division rivalry. Needless to say, I’m stoked.
I love watching Sharks/Kings games, and it’s not just because the Sharks have been on the winning side of those games for the past few seasons. It always promises to be a physical game, with top-notch goaltending, and excitement.
Ah, who could forget this magical game?
Which then led to this amazing series-ending move…
And I’m sure Kings fans won’t forget about this one…
Tonight’s game should provide the same spark and excitement that this matchup has been all about in recent years, especially with both teams battling for position in the uber-competitive Western Conference. As it stands right now, San Jose is sitting at ninth place with 28 points, and L.A. is in fourth place with 30 points. The Sharks desperately need a regulation win and need to get the offense going again. Jonathan Quick has been shaky at times this season, and if he gets the start tonight (expected), maybe that’s just what the Sharks need.
(Inaccurate) Prediction: Kings win 4-1, because let’s face it, the Sharks stink right now.
